What is going on with Great Britian and gun control? A government should fear the people, the people should not fear their government.Does anyone remember this statement?

The laws are ridiculous. I mean The VCR Bill bans replica weapons, but allows you to own deactivated ones. Im pretty sure its easier to make a deactivated gun work than a fake one.
The government treats us all like we're incapable of doing anything without hurting ourselves.

Cheers,
Rik

my dad owns a load of de-activated guns ranging from webleys to lee-enfields and a thompson he has to have them certifaceted that theyve been "butchered" by a government approved de-activator which
includes the barrel being welded closed with a steel bar a section of barrel removed and visible
the firing pin and mechanism to be removed and de-funct he also has to obtain a shotgun licence this for a lee enfield that was converted to 4:10 shotgun ammo has to have them locked away in an armoured gun cabinet that is locked and bolted to the floor and a yearly visit by the local plod to ensure its still there

again the criminal wins we loose

hes also selling his collection as he really cant be bothered with it all now ::) ::)

i was given the task of converting a replica gun into a working firearm it was so easy to do and didn't take more than an hour, a mate of mine bought a soviet man portable flame unit at a flea market in Germany a few years ago and in less than a day we had it fully operational, we fired the thing up on the 30 meter range and cooked all the targets in a 3 sec burst, it was an exceptionally scary thing too see....................oz
