Giant 1:6 scale Avro Lancasters Formation Duo

At 1:6 scale and 18 feet wingspan these are certainly giant scale RC aircraft. Each Lanc is powered by four Zenoah 38 engines. Flown by Steve and Andy at Weston Park International Model Show.

My local RC shop Mick Charles which has now sadly gone, used to make RC planes for films. They built a couple of 1/4 scale Dakotas for a tv series a while ago, amongst other things. But their best model was a 1/4 scale Lancaster for either a film or tv program (I'm not sure which, and sadly I can't find out now that they've gone). Sadly it was blown up at the end. The builders were quite disappointed about that, even though they were paid for the job.
It may have been for a docudrama
