My well known fixation on Wing/Butterfly nuts forces me to constantly scan web sites in a never ending search for more suppliers :(
www.rctank.de
Is the latest source with "WECOHE"-Fine Line M1.2 Wing/Butterfly nuts in packs of 10 at 11.95Euros and M1.6 again in packs of 10 at 12.90 Euros, this of course does not include Postage .
When you think that a Tiger 1 had in excess of 30 wing nuts on the Tank body you might want to consider that second mortgage :lolno:

Thanks for the headsup, Shaun, and the financial advice. By the way, in Tank terms, RTR could mean 'Road To Recklessness- or ruin". :lolno:

Very, very expensive - I nearly took the plunge and bought some but thought I bet I could get some from China cheap. Nope. Custom item not easily made for the quality!

On an earlier thread (Tips & Tricks) I mentioned purchasing bulk Wing/Butterfly nuts from "Mitosal" based in Singapore they were similar to the "Schumo" Product which have pressed faux threads,
Indeed earlier today I finished running an M1.02 die along the length of the stud of my remaining 30 mitosal wing nuts thereby turning the fake threads into working wing nuts.
The bad news is that "Mitosal" are no longer trading so the search for cheap wing nuts continues.
If you do find cheap Metal wing nuts in M1.02 or M1.06 please let us know, It does not matter if they do not have working threads as the metal is soft enough to tap a thread yourself.

Have you tried Grandt Line O scale wing nut assortment. They are styrene. I got some from e of the bay.

Yes I have, very disappointing and they cannot be converted to working threaded Wing Nuts which the metal Mitosal and Schumo variants can so if you want something that looks good but has no other purpose then go for the styrene ones but if you want working Wing/ Butterfly nuts then you really have to use metal ones.

Mitosal are still trading, albeit via Facebook only under the name Impact. I ordered some parts today.

I do not subscribe to facebook or any other of those intruders into ones precious time,
I have a "Skype" account, a hardwired telephone and I have an "E-Mail" address and that is as close as I wish to get to modern communication,
My Mobile phone (A tiny Nokia) is somewhere at the bottom of a drawer and has been for a couple of years.
Like an Ostrich if I cannot find what I want on my PC then it does not exist. :lolno:

I thought Impact was only doing business through Facebook to liquidate their current inventory since they were getting out of the game? I got a quote for some KV-1 metal tracks from them a few months back. They wanted to charge me $44 US to ship a single set of tracks...yeah I passed on that.

I get charged $35 to have a padded envelope sent from the states, mitosal shipping isn’t so bad ;)

I did check out singpost and that was the price :(
