Plastic gear.

Afternoon all,

I'm looking for a gear like the one I've added in the pic below, the trouble is I don't know what this type of gear is called to search for it :D . I have plenty of spare gears with the teeth on the outer edges but the one I'm after has the teeth on the face of the gear not the edge, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction of what this type is called or where I may find one with a diameter of approximately 25mm

Cheers, Lee. Image

I believe it's known as a Face Gear (a type of Crown gear...)

You're welcome, Lee. Try this link:

I've often seen this type of gear where the teeth face backwards towards the input shaft (in watches etc..)

Lee could this be made with 3D printer?

I'm not quite sure Carl, I did enquire a while back when the 3D print thread was in its infancy about making the gears for the tamiya rotation units as they have an high failure rate but the consensus was that it would be difficult to 3D print because of how small they are and the capabilities of home printers, I have located one which I think may do the job now Carl :D thanks for your input though bud

Cheers, Lee.
