Build yourself a detailed rear bulkhead for that tank. It really deserves one. The working barrel lock is a great start from Tamiya but other things can be scratched out fairly easily as well.

That's luuurverly!!!

Is it all brass rod and Styrene? I'd gladly get a new rope too...

Good morning,
Styrene, brass strip, brass rod, scale screws and bolts, a doll house phone receiver and cord. The cable was wound out of recovered and stripped electrical wiring. I found a pic of a restored Pershing in a museum here in the States and went from there.
regards,
Painless

Great, I can do that!

This afternoon had some very boring meetings, so I tore down the 50cal for stowage.

Somehow, it all fits back together too...

:D There's almost a skull-like face in the middle of that towrope, Painless. It's quite intimidating! Beautifully finished, of course, as we have to come to expect.
I must say, that the texture of the 'casting' pitting on the Tamiya turret is a delight to behold, and perfectly in scale. However, I really can't afford to look at the Pershing for too long, as there's a danger I might be seduced by it. I have to agree it's one of Tamiya's best offerings.
Jimbo is indeed fortunate, and you have created a very alluring take on the M26 yourself...something he can use for reference purposes.

It was a weekend of frustration and stooopidiy...

After finally realising that I was plugging in ch3-6 and not ch1-4, the Pershing is now operational!

But, I did replace all the stiff Tamiya wiring (sticky, aged connectors) with new silicone wires that are now the correct length too.

I now need a smaller battery than the 6000mAh 2S hard case LiPo's used in the Panzer III/StuG and T-34, so am waiting for Hobbyking to deliver a Zippy 4000mAh 2S later this week.

There's really no room at the front of the hull thanks to the turret rotation mechanism...

BTW, does Tamiya thinners (X-20A) dissolve stubborn glued items, as I have a stubborn fuel can that refuses to be detached from the rear deck?

I know I do go on a bit about "Velco" But if you line the inside of the hull, both the floor and the sides with it and attach it to the battery and the other impedimenta you will have no wasted space and everything will be secure AND you can then fit the battery on its side stuck to the wall of the hull.

Can’t. Use. Velcro.

It just isn’t neat enough for my OCD...

What type of armour is that then, will it be ready for the next TOTM? . . . .

It's a FrSky XMR, 6 channel PWM and flippin' tiny!

I had to add the 3 pin plug array as it is supplied without any...
