Been playing with one of these for a while looking for useable axles.
As I like a punt now and again, I found some metal axles for £28 each & thought sod it.
The axles are for a Tamiya Bruser clone called the HG P407, the metal chassis is also available for £30 so I ordered one as well.
Today the front axle arrived & it looks spit on for the jeep

New axle next to the version from the kit
Cheers

There ya go, Wayne, making me jealous again.
How well do you think they would fit in a kubel?

I saw the cost and nearly fell out of my chair, and then I scrolled down and saw what it was for
Looks like they'll do the job

Only question is, how many weeks do you think its going to take to print each of the tyres in TPU...?

I’ll measure it tomorrow & post the results.
I was looking at some of Alwyn’s tyres for the Bren gun carrier & the finish was fantastic, so I’ve ordered a spool & I’ve just got a filament heater, should prove interesting to try out

Cheers

Will the normal jeep wheels and tyres not suffice?

A 3D printed hub arrangement should enable that

Oh, that's it. Make me want to spend more money on my grandson. . . .
Fantastic find Wayne

I'll be watching with great interest.
I'm wondering if these axles will work on an Action Man (GI Joe) Jeep? I see them for sale quite often and they're not that expensive.

You'd have to make a full chassis and butcher the body to fit on top of it - not impossible, but looks like of of those projects that we all start on but quickly move onto something easier when we realise just how deep the rabitt hole is...
