Hi
Help needed, what size+type of wire do i need for the wiring on heng long tanks,do i need silicon wire. I need to extend the wire for the switches etc and replace the motor wires, or is a complete rewire better.  ??? ??? ???

Basically any old crap will do. I use 22 guage from radioshack, but you should be able to use 30 guage just as well. Main Motor wires will do better if you use 16 guage or bigger, but the rest is low voltage and current.

Best to rewire rather than extend - less risk of dry joints / corrosion that way.

I've used 22-gauge for the switches and 18-gauge for the battery and motor wiring.  I agree that re-wiring is better unless you're doing something with a quick-connect in mind.

I agree that radioshack 22-gauge for switches, smoker, speaker, recoil, gun motor,8-pin connectors use stock. And maybe these will help.

Thank you guy's for your information, will be practicing my soldering skills first. Will be using that heat shrink tube instead of cable ties.

I'm a pack rat Phil, don't know where half the stuff comes from although I believe the one you are referring too came from this forum when I was first trying to develop my I/R,AIRSOFT,RECOIL turret. Not sure as you know nothing ever goes away on line.If you would like I WILL CERTAINLY credit you with having drawn this diagram as I IN NO WAY have claimed to be the draftsman,I am only sharing what has been shared with me.Blake
