Chunks Tiger conversion to late war ( by Littletankman )

hi just started on this conversion of another early to late war Tiger 1 . This will also be in sXX 101 , Kompanie 1 Tank number (possibly) 132 ? Its going to have the rubber rimmed wheels but the usual late war alterations . I will post picts as it progresses just started removing parts and scratch building ( not another Tiger

my Stug III Ausf.G is still sitting there waiting ! ) Oh well of we go again . I will post picts .

The front scratch built light is now fitted ( Thanks Mart ) and I have zimmerited the front with battle damage as requested by Chunk

. Ive also added the front weld seem. The drivers veiwing slot just needs tyding up a bit after opening this to.

Thanks for your comments this is my sons tank . Ive nearly finished my Tiger 1 and was going to finnish my Stug conversion . But I like Tigers so of we go again.

More zimmerit , Ive done under the skirts too . I must love doing zimmerit :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ Ive also thinned down the skirts .
Getting there Chunk will do some more tom probally make the track cable holders and zimmerit :-\ :-\ :-\ the other side .

Made the later war track cable ' clip ' mounts and end holders . And guess what

! more zimmerit . Will get a brake from it now as next jobs are sort out rear suporstructor , engine deck , mesh grills , weld seams , front hatch lips and decide if to move the turret and fit the turret protection ring :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ . Oh you can just see Ive started to scratch build the late war turret parts , periscopce cover mid mounted vent and self defence weapon all scartch built , god Im tight

. I will post some pictures of this once I get a bit more done .

Had ago at the engine deck , mesh grills and front hatch lips today . They look a bit rough but will tidy them up tom and try and get top deck finished . Just got to make engine cover , do that tom ?

There's not much of the original Tiger left, you could have been even tighter and scratch built the whole thing!

Only kidding, it's coming together well, great work.
