I took this pic of the rear of the Training school (Schulungs Fahrzeug) Jagpanzer in the Munster Museum; but only noticed the oddity when uploading the pic.

Dunlop had a German subsiduary - quoting the wiki entry "The German subsidiary was reacquired after the First World War, and by 1929, Dunlop of Germany operated the second largest tyre factory in the country"
Just as Ford and GM made stuff for the German Army, I'm sure the Dunlop plants did their part for the war effort one way or another. I've certainly seen Dunlop rubber on period trucks.

Some British Firms were also fulfilling pre-war contracts with German firms, via Switzerland, for certain items, I read somewhere. How like their Germans cousins the English are..
It's such a pity that Dunlop is now all but defunct now though.
