Finally got it done:
Unfortunately the main body is way too big for my CR-10's to do in one go, so I'll have to split it up.

I have some flicker effect orange LED's to put in the engine nacelle, hopefully I can shove a speaker in there as well. There's also a passageway for smoke to be pumped up to the engine outlet if we can find something suitable - battery operated smokers seem to be very expensive compared with mains powered ones.

The ideal would be to have it all hooked up to an Auduino that fires up the LED's, sounds and smoke every half hour or so for a couple of mins, but that assumes that somebody can figure that part out

That would be a real “show stopper”! Keep us updated.

You may not even need a smoker, the pulse jet engine that propelled it in the air did not produce much smoke at all and was almost invisible, the only significant smoke was when it first started up, the Germans used a rocket attached to a separate sled that propelled the V1 off of the launch ramp so it was not even part of the V1 itself also if you want it to be authentic that LED would need to be quite bright to produce the fireball that came out of the pulse jets exhaust

The plan would be a quick puff of smoke first, then light the LED's and make with the noise.

Or model it on the launch rail.
