Hi, make sure your battery is fully charged ! The Voltage of your battery goes directly to your smoke-unit. (Full battery = more Voltage = more smoke) Make sure that you didn’t overfilled the unit (if overfilled it won’t produce smoke at all), you can then unscrew the top of the oil chamber and let all the oil out, then try with the cotton only soaked and no or very little oil in the bottom of the chamber (a few drops will smoke for a very long time)

People often have high expectations from their smoke-unit, but in reality the smoke is hard to see and very little
That’s why I remove them an go for a bigger speaker instead ; p

Thanks for your reply. I blew down the filler hole and the vent in the end and now some smoke comes out but as you say, it is not much. I think if there were a breeze I wouldn't see it at all.. I will try to work out how to get the tank apart tomorrow I think so that I can have a proper look at it. I now think that I must have overfilled it just after I got the tank.

I got so fed up with smokers that did no such thing that I stripped them out of all of my Tanks and then I read about Ian's "TARR" smoker,
About as good as there is and reliable,
Check them out at---- http://www.rctankelectronics.com
Ian (Tankbear) is a member of this Forum and very helpful.

Good evening,
Posting a link to a stock Taigen smoker that I put in my Pershing. On one of the super windy days we get up here, I did a quick video of it outside. Strong and noticeable. I use Mega Steam in the smokers, huge difference.

I always discard the smokers. I got tired of the poor performance, the mess, and the wasted current. Plus it frees up valuable space when it is properly placed in the circular file.

It's worth trying the Tarr smokers Jarndice recommended. Used properly, they can produce more smoke that hippies round a Hookah and- and this is a big advantage- they make none of the noisy clanking noises associated with Hl/Taigen smokers.

Yes, it certainly does make some noise , the one that came with it. That said I'm still blown away by the value for money that my Chally represents compared to say Tamiya.

I will have to have it apart asap and look at the wiring, I presume a Tarr smoker would be a straight swap ?
