Good afternoon
While browsing eBay I have come across something called a linear servo. I never knew that
Such an item existed but was thinking about it's suitability to use for Barrell recoil applications.
Just wondering if anybody on here has ever used
A linear servo and what your thoughts are regarding using it for a recoil mod
Thanks
Glyn

I think I will leave Barrel recoil to specialised fittings BUT I can see a use for it attached to an MG in the Hull.

The ones I've seen arent really strong enough for our application but hopefully they will improve.

Linier servo's vary from the cheapo undercarridge retracts for park fliers you find on fleabay all the way up to (eye wateringly expensive) high end industrial stuff.
In either case I doubt you could get something like that to move fast enough to act as a realistic barrel recoil?

For really cheap linear servo look for car power door lock actuators. They are very strong.
