a while ago in a tech lesson iwas talking to my tech teacher (whos a tank buff

) and he told me the maus was never used in combat? but i disagreed as i believe that after the first couple of prototypes actual fighting worthy ones were produced and sent out! i also found images of a destroyed maus which was destroyed near the eastern front, so is this evidence which shows the maus did actualy see combat?

As far as I know the maus never saw action. from what Ive seen in the past what we are looking at there is an internal explosion, id say rigged by the crew to stop it falling into enemy hands. Even a typhoon rocket attack couldnt do that to that beast and no gun on a tank at the time could penetrate that armour as far as I know.

The Germans tried to destroy the 2-3 Maus that they had as Rocket says the picture is of a massive internal explosion the Russians captures these tanks and managed to rebuild one from two, it's believed that the Russians managed to get this tank running, this tanks is today on display in Russia though it has impact marks on the glasses plate these where caused by the Russian's testing there largest caliber weapons at point blank range none penetrated or even had a hope of penetrating, the Maus never saw combat

Dont think anythig could have taken it out on the feild, as Rivit said the russians tried everything they had and nothing worked, so it would have just had to have been starved out of fuel ect. or by destroying the tracks and melting the barrel ect...
Panther 2 turret in your pics ? where ?
