So, I'm guessing you haven't got a spare battery to try?

I discovered my K T problem because I already had other tanks with good batteries. The standard heng long NiCad batteries don't seem to cope with a K T with metal upgrades, especially if not in top condition, that's tank and battery.
When you say yours stops, does it just revert to standby (as it is before you press start), or does it completely turn off like you've turned the tank off by the switch?

That's exactly what I had and found it was the battery.

If your tank fully turned off, I was going to say check the battery connection.

Hi, What kind of battery do you have ?
Is it a Ni-Cad (Green) or a Li-On) If it is a Ni-Cad I would suggest you change to a Li-Po.
And the next question is are you using the Heng Long charger or an aftermarket charger, If it is the Heng Long I suggest you dump it in the bin and get something better.

Hi mate , I’m using the green one that came with the tank when I bought it . I have been using the same charger that came with the tank . Mind you I got about seven chargers . One his a Torro one. I recently bought a battery on eBay with a lot stronger , should be delivered in a few days

Hi, I would give serious thought to using a Li-Po Battery instead of the Ni-Cad (Green) Battery, and I use a "Turnigy Accucell 6" Charger which charges Li-Po/LiFe----NiMH/Ni-Cad and Lead Acid batteries,
Very easy to use and it cuts the charging time right down and you can see the progress of the charge on the screen.
It comes with all the cables and adaptors for whatever battery you are using,
Try Hobbyking for them.
They cost about £28. In my opinion its money well spent.
You have to go to "U-Tube" for a tutorial which is simple to understand, this is because it does not come with instructions.

Isn't it taigen that come with a green battery pack?

Heng Long usually with yellow? And, with the newer Heng Long tanks, the black Li-Ion battery pack.

Anyway, either way, if this hobby, or any other RC hobby is going to stay in your life, you do need a proper intelligent charger.
One dedicated to the type of batteries you use. You can get chargers that cater for all battery types, but they're expensive.

Personally I wouldn't use any type of lithium battery in an older system that wasn't designed for supporting the use of lithium, especially not Li-Po.
