Hmmmm... to build a rear turret basket for the Mk 13, I don't have any brass rod but do have some 1.8mm copper wire. So here goes

Soldering has always been my nemesis and this job is no exception, three hours later, as a turret basket, the result is a bit of a 'basket case'





Anyway a bit of sanding and filing and a coat of paint and it should be ok (sort of)

and now after 2 days solid printing we have a turret



Now the rest of the turret fittings. All I need now is the gun barrel and I can progress the turret.

just the barrel to mount and then down to finishing off jobs

Major progress on the turret, the L7 barrel is now mounted and mantlet done and the gearboxes fitted after major chassis surgery and hair pulling





Still the tracks to do and the barrel mounting/recoil/elevation to fit but getting close to finished
