Hi My name is Kieran, I have been model RC tank enthusiased for a few years now, I live in South Wales (UK). Looking for local tank clubs near me. meet new people too.

I have a good collection of heng long, Torro, and Taigan tanks , 1/16 scale. Be great to take them to a place I can use them more often. instead of pestering the neighbours with the noise. :haha:
I have two Panther tanks, two king tigers Herschel and the Porsche turret design. Sherman and Tiger 1.

Hi Kieran, welcome on board. I understand your situation - loads of tanks and no one to play with! It seems to be the way. The good news is that the hobby seems to be growing at a pace and the more of us there are, the more likely there will be fellow nutters near by. Being in Essex I can't help you but one day next summer l may hire a venue for a mass meet in a location convenient for UK tankers. All depends on interest and support. Any ideas welcome.

In the mean time, there's loads of good info and free help and support here - enjoy!

Thanks for the reply . Yeah I’m hoping somewhere to go soon . It will be great if get one big meet and have a big venue in the summer.

I noticed on YouTube I’m europe they use vast area with different terrain , along with diorama scenes to go with the tank battles. Get more people involved . Aslong the weather is good . Should be a good day out

Hello and welcome to the forum Kieran

Sounds like you're off to a good start and the beginnings of a good collection

There are a few tankers in South Wales I believe, not sure if they meet up

Well, enjoy the forum, and I'm sure someone would be willing to answer any questions you may have.

Mick.

Hi Mick , yeah I’ve been lucky to have a collection . Been good upgrading them with metal upgrades . Especially in the garden when they seem to move through mud and even the snow we had early this year

I’m hoping to get to know more people near me and go to local clubs and model events.

I remember going to Tiger day I’m bovington a few months ago . They showed a lot of 1/6 scale tanks . I thought why not 1/16 tankers get involved as well . I’m hoping to go to tankfest next year

Hi Kieran, welcome to the forum, where about are you in South Wales ? A few of us meet up ( mainly in the summer months ) down at Rhoose point in Barry and at a camp site called Happy Jake's which did have a good tank course but it is in need of some work now which a few of us are hoping to achieve in the New year

Cheers, Lee.

Welcome, Kieran! Our immediate Supremo, WibblyWobbly (Rob) lives in the South Wales Valleys, and nobody would be better placed than he is, to give you the briefing on local venues and RC nerds :)
