One of my favorite sayings is a takeoff on the old adage, "If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one around to hear it, did it make a sound?"

I like your thinking only drawback with your version, the man will get found out eventually, and the repercussions of making a decision without her, oh boy, Armageddon times ten. . . .won't matter if he's right or wrong
