Hey tankistas!

So I bought my first RC tank last week. The poor thing has been running 24/7 since then Image. It?s a FOV T-34 that came in a strange camouflage pattern (the dealer was out uf stock with the green one).

So Im trying to figure out what camouflage pattern they have sprayed on. The package states ”1941 (1st Gv.T.Br) USSR tricolor summer camoflage.

Im having trouble finding any info about this cammo. Im leaning towards that its a mix of the finnish camouflage and the cammo on the tank with the crew climbing on

Not sure the 85 was around in '41?? How about a simple Russian olive drab with Berlin allied stripes? Go well with the Taigen IS-2 when it finally appears in 2020

Hmm..The package designation (1941 etc.,) appears to come from the Warthunder description of the T34/76. The T34/85 didn't appear until 1943. In addition, Soviet tanks- especially early ones tended to have a uniform green tone camouflage, like British and American tanks. In winter, whitewash was added. I'd guess the camo on your tank is closer to the tri-colour pattern used on Finnish armour in the war, and post-war.
That's my guess, anyway.
It's a fine looking example though. I have the so-called Taigen 'metal' edition' (metal turret + alloy lower chassis), and it handles as well as its legendary grown up counterpart did. Enjoy.

Thanks, yes it would appear that this is a fantasy pattern with origins in the Finnish camouflage. The Taigen metal edition is one of my two 1/16 favourites. At least from looking at them on youtube. Never seen one live.

I've seen some photos of the t34/85 used later in life in African countries in similar Camouflage patterns....

This example is in the museum in South Africa

Thanks, did you take that picture?

The tank on the cover of this book also appears to have a similar pattern.
