Need your advise on something. I came home today to find a house a few doors down flying this flag out of an upstairs window.



I dont know the people that live there, and at first I thought it was teenagers mucking about as i first noticed it as one left the house  laughing at it. But its been hanging there all evening and Im begining to wonder if they're trying to make some kind of statment.

Now I cant help feeling offended by this, my initial reaction was to confront them to find out why they felt the need to do this. Then I considered the pros & cons of removing the flag with a molotov cocktail, or maybe reminding them of the Nazi's method of operating... starting as crystal night  

Now I've had a few hours to think about it and Its still there and its still bugging me. Obviously Im really not going to do anything stupid.

So my question is, am I just being too sensitive? Should I be ignoring this or should something be done?

whatever retard put this flag up i doubt they will have the intelligence to understand its offensive so don't ask them to take it down you could be getting into something that may blow up out of all proportions, although the flags and banners act forbids this kind of display, phone the police or send the pic to your local council authorities and let them deal with it.................cheers oz

Thanks for your thoughts Oz. Ive decided to wait until the morning. When my baby daughter wakes me up at "oh my god O'clock" tomorrow, if its still hanging there I'll give the local police station a call. Hopefully my neighbours will be getting a rather early morning wake up call and shown the light.  ::)

Yeah, folks like that don't like the light - especially the flashing blue one...

how did they get a hold of a fla glike that anyway? yh yu should contact the police it really is that offensive and im a teenager! lol

I don't find it offensive but it does make you wonder about the mentality of someone who'd do that, I mean what piont are they trying to make?

There is no excuse for this in this day and age. Look at the reaction Prince Harry got for dressing as a nazi at a fancey dress party, this is worse, a huge flag for all to see. Im guessing that they have no comprehension of what they have done and of its ramifications.

It could just be an angry teenager sticking two fingers up to the world, freedom of speech blah blah blah and so on.

What I find that offends me is that in my country any body can display any unchristian,anti american garbage and they are handled with kid gloves,If I CHOOSE to display any historical flags from my family history automaticly Im a racist or worst.So I choose to teach that history to my children in a way that they understand where they have come from and their smart enough not to do something as stupid as your neighbor.On the other hand that looks like a kriegsmarine flag and your neighbor could be a sailor?

Well the flag came down late last night, and no sign of it today. I wish I'd called yesterday now and got something done. Feeling like a fool today as I should've taken more of a stance but failed to act  :-\. If it goes up again I'm calling the police ASAP.
