Found some chain , one side done. Don't like the track holder pins , might be on the thin side. Paint may make them look better.
Might need thicker wire for track holder pins

Casting numbers on crew heater and fixed grills on fans, like the 3D effect on the wire. Wish Aber would do them ,think they look better than the PE flat ones. A pain trying to cut a circle on the mesh as its interwoven , and some wire falls out at the edges.
Pics highlights the glue will try a drill to remove

Grills were underneath the easy option ,no need to get the circle cut to fit. .Like the unpainted bit in the middle now, wear and tear.

Ring is looks a little bashed good, 1st try wire was too big

Resizing the covers at rear of engine hatch. Using the Trumpeter kit to check size ,HL ones are undersized.
Increased the diameter of the covers

Another paint , a little rough but its a HL . A bit bright , will need lots of light washes and some touching up. Looking for a dusty tank.

Thanks jhamn All went well until the red brown went on , airbrush started to play up . Trigger for paint flow erratic. Might do the brown again , not happy with the finish. Stripped down airbrush and it needed a deep clean , so much for cleaning needle ,cup and outer cone inside and out. The inner cone assembly needed a soak in airbrush cleaner to remove some gunge :O Need to do one set of side skirts again ,painted the hull red strip under the overlap on wrong side.

Another HL miss ,checked some details on my other kit. Wrong rain guard over gunsight. Another little fix and may as well do the brackets on LHS and casting line.
Rain guard wrong shape, its for mantlet without chin

Two different rain guards , no casting line ?
