I've done a couple of these, love that menacing look, and it doesn't even have a gun! lol.
Top notch work on the styrene, it's looking pretty damned good.

Thx for the nice comments chaps.
I have done a little more since these pics were uploaded but not much.
I am having real difficulty finding photos of the dozer hydraulic raising mechanism, i have some photos but nothing in detail so am just doing what i can with what info i can find.
I have built the lower framework for the blade and am just starting to construct the hydraulic cylinders,
The mechanism is peculiar as the hydraulic rams are verticle and just push and pull the lower dozer blade mounting rack up and down which pivots on 2 mounts suspended from the hull this makes the blade tilt backwards when raised and verticle when lowered.
Will take a bit to get the geometry correct and all the linkages at the right angle.
Onwards and upwards.

Hi Chaps.
Its been a while since i updated this build and the M8 has come on leaps and bounds so to speak.
After having found little or no information on the Dozer blade mounts and hydraulic operation i finally managed to get enough info to make a reasonable copy, it was difficult as the hydraulic cylinders that move the blade up and down actually pivot in their mountings as the blade is raised and lowered so i had to construct them to move as the blade moved, in all i think there are about 12 pivot points on the dozer blade and mountings that have to function in order for it to raise and lower and pivot back when raised and then pivot forward when lowered to be at approx 90 degrees to the ground.
Hopefully some following photos can explain it better.
Regards Sub

Further pics of the Dozer blade raised locking mechanism.
Don't want to bore anyone, will post more pics if any interest.

Magical brasswork Sir.
How do you prevent heat transfer from one solder joint to the others ?
