Hi. I'd start by opening the turret and checking all wires there.

I have a taigen metal turret with airsoft and servo recoil. The turret has a small board inside that controls the servo operation. Well, in general it hardly ever worked as intended plus the servo speed was the same both ways. Which robs of realism. The system was so shabby that the recoil would move 3 times, stop at inmost/outmost position or not move at all. So an absolute failure isn't out of the question.

Have you considered speaking to the retailer you bought it from? Sounds like it may be a problem they could resolve under warranty. Any sticking of the recoil action might be fixed with a squirt of WD40 on the inside and outside of the barrel.

Maybe a bit more info could help. Is it a standard Taigen recoil, or is it a servo recoil? Is it doing anything at all, like sound, track recoil, light flashing? I just recently installed a standard recoil/flash unit in a Stug III and had some problems with it. Mostly it was the spring not allowing the unit to hit all the limit switches.
