This is not MY THREAD. Mine was the first reply, and the original poster deleted this post.

It looks like the question was "Where do you paint workshop or other?" Or something to that effect. I would never start a thread title with a lower case. My third grade English teacher would have my hide.

Hand painting and very light spray work is in my hobby area (where the tanks are built) for most spray work, I take it outside or to the garage. Most of my paints are stored in the hobby room. No pictures right now as I am 700 miles from my hobby room (or that my brother Sassgrunt is rubbing off on me).

Ignore the ramblings of my idiot brother. Before he decided to move, that man had a workshop in Denver that just made your jaw drop to the floor! Really - everything purpose-designed and built for rebuilding automobiles, (and would have been such a sweet setup for model tanks). Now that he is setting up shop further East, I am looking forward to seeing what workshop Fantasyland he creates.

For myself, it's a TV table 'workbench' that is surrounded by storage boxes of projects. (I get one out to work on and then put it back before getting a different one out to work on). I made a 'spray painting booth' in the garage by enclosing a stand-up storage rack and using a bathroom electric fan to vent the fumes outside. I also made a 'lathe' of sorts by mounting a 1/2" drill sideways on a sheet of plywood. It won't make anything of a large diameter, but does allow me to work on roadwheels and such.

Conservatory, lounge, dinning room, patio, 2nd bedroom, (not shown, too embarrassed) garage. In short, a detached 4 bed house tank workshop. Sad

Of course, given a few hours l could clear it all away and you'd never have known.....if only there was somewhere to hide it all. :(ImageImageImageImageImage

Good morning,
Jumbo is a Bachelor! ( Or he and his Wife share separate residences ) Even when I had the four story house up in Firestone, all of my tanks and books and collections were in a Library I had set up in the 'Great Room'. I worked on vehicles when I did, up in the Kitchen, on the counter. I have traded a Mortgage for Land I own outright and live in a single wide modular that is Office. Home and Tank Room *chuckles* There are plans underway to expand but to tell the truth, I am in no hurry. What we have is a whole lot easier to upkeep than that four story money monster was....and I am still working on tanks on the counter. ;o)

Looks like a lot going on, breakfast on the floor
Right now, yes, too many projects on the go but, prompted by those photos I've just felt a great guilt thing and tidied the whole place up, just in case that gorgeous post girl brings me a new parcel tomorrow (I've always got space for her!)
