Sitting in an hour of traffic to my delight a trailer pulled up next to me with two very interesting pieces of World War II armour Image sorry for the partially obstructed view with my truck equipment...ImageImageImageImage

Carl if you drove on the proper side of the road you would have got a much better picture :haha:
Do you have any idea where it was going or indeed where it had come from?
Back in the days of my youth I saw John Glenns "Friendship 7" Mercury Space Capsule on its way from a USAF base to the London Science Museum complete with re-entry scorch marks,
That took me by surprise

That's amazing. Where would that be heading from and too though ? Nothing really in your corner of CT......... The closest thing I can think of is the War Muesem in Ottawa, Canada which has tons of WWII AFVs.

I don't know Michael. Very unique pieces for sure. Maybe a private collection? I know they are opening a new military museum nearby in Massachusetts...

WOW .... those are pretty special. Raupenschlepper Ost. Can't be many of these RSO Tractors left anywhere. Wonder if it's this one...

And a Marder too. The Sdkfz 131 is my sneaky favourite tank destroyer. I just love the lines of it. Forget the big Jagdtigers and such. This thing is much prettier.

Shaun, aren't they building an addition to that Aircraft Museum to house the Littlefield collection? That's supposed to be in New England, correct?

As for driving on the wrong side of the road, my American friends are always surprised when I explain to them exactly why Brits drive on the left side. It started with the Romans. If you're walking down a road and a stranger is coming toward you, if you are on the left hand side of the road, it places your sword arm towards the stranger.
