Anyone know how long to cut the track cables? Doing the Aber kit and it doesn't say how long to make them...

It’s only one. Do you need to cut anything at all?

The "ABER" Track Cable kit is already the correct length, It should come with a plan of how it fits along the "LEFT" side of the Tiger 1, (That is Left when looking from the back to the front) ,
I dispensed with the "ABER" loops and simply precut some proper size "Heat Shrink" and slid them down the cable then formed a loop then slid the "Heat Shrink" back along the cable and over the point where the loop began and applied heat,
Small Cable Clamps (Such as Dave www.forgebeartanks.com usually has in stock or www.rctanks.de is another good source) are what I use to hold the cable in place,
Paint the top of the clamp Brown and they look like leather straps.
If you are building a particular Tiger 1 you need to get hold of good Photographs of the Track cable whilst it is in position because over the years in service Tiger 1 Track Cables were fitted in different ways.

Btw. Can anyone share any pics how Aber updates are made? I’d like to see how it comes about. I believe it’s quite some work. Soldering and so on.

All my Photo-Etch soldering I do using a
"Nimrod Solderpro-50K Butane Torch" in combination with "Fryolux Paint"
Use a paint brush to apply the Fryolux along the seam that needs soldering then wipe the flame of the Nimrod Torch along the seam and the job is done, It is as easy as that BUT "Fryolux Paint" is VERY TOXIC, Do not lick the paint brush, do not let your pets or your Children near it,
But if you intend to do a lot of Photo-Etch it is definitely the way to go,
"Fryolux" is not only Toxic but expensive but it lasts forever and in fact is very good value, The Nimrod Torch uses cigarette lighter refill aerosols.

I'm actually pretty bad at soldering. Still can make the Aber sets at 1/16th scale work. Even with the large Ersa 3mm and 1mm tips. Just go at it. It is a large improvement.

I absolutely agree, The secret to soldering Photo-Etch whether using an Iron or a Butane torch is Practice.
