I know that many of the members of the Forum are Bikers and supporters of Motorcycle Sport,
Sadly William Dunlop died today (Saturday 07 July 2018) at the Skerries 100,
My thoughts are with his friends and family most especially his wife who is expecting their child very soon.
RIP William,
Thank you for so many fond memories.

Very sad news indeed Shaun, another of the talented Dunlop family tragically lost, I had the privilege of seeing William race at the Aberdare park road races along side his late father Robert when he was first starting his road racing career , it's a shame and so sad that so many road racers meet their end in this way, RIP William,
Lee.

Sad indeed.
It's a dangerous sport, but it brings great men to the fore. They risk all in the pursuit of their sport, and there is not enough of that kind of dedication in the world.
RIP

Damn mate thats tragic.
The Dunlop family have lost far too much to a sport ...............
I have a regret that I could not take up an offer to ride the I.O.M in 1989................so I will die not knowing if........
As a Kiwi, several guys I raced with and looked up to went to the English Road Racing series and stand taller for it.
Some, like Holden , lost their lives.
With every advance in safety for motorsport, its Motorcycling that cannot be improved beyond a degree that still means riders risk death.
Mrs Dunlop must be a broken Woman, and for that, I say enough for that family to bear in the name of sport.
Twist the wrist young William, "life begins at 240"
