Hi All

I haven't finished my first Tiger yet and I am already thinking about the next one!

Would it be possible to marry a creepingdeath turret with the asiatam hull and el mod sound system?

Has anyone done it and if so what are the draw backs?

Once again many thanks for any forth coming advice

Hi JTS In theory it should all work together but I dont know anyone who has done all off these together ,so you might have to find parts of your build from different posts and then put them together ,would make a very intersting build ,If you are fitting El-mod why not go one step more and fit a battle unit as well ,swop over the lazer to the other side and fit an I.R. emmitter and have a removable apple in the loaders hatch.fit the lazer through the gun sight because you dont need a big hole for the lazer.

I have a super TIGER1,This is an on-going project. To date with the help of Shelby@creeping death, and Bill@rccommand I have airsoft with recoil, and tank recoil, and I/R all at once useing RX-18 BOARD with the standard RCCOMMAND MODS for RX-18 I/R.The gun turret has been the problem, three months back and forth with C/R BUT FINALLY we have been able to mate the systems. The copula mounted I/R tower is the last problem, the magazine feed tray has to be shortened and I AM trying to use the vent as a feed to the tray.At this time my Tiger is being painted and weathered with the help of OZ,check out tips and tricks section. As soon as painting is finished I WILL post the gun build. Also CREEPING DEATH has pulled their turret and are going to release a 280fps paintball gun for the TIGER1.I have a standing order for this new system which should also be I/R capable. You will need two silicon Diode's from Radio shack part#IN4003 OR 200V-1A DIODE,this will prevent the gun motor, and the recoil motor from trying to run backwards, mainly the gun because that will strip the gun motor racket gear,I still need to perfect the dependability of the gun so for now it is a working theory, but once all is working I Will post everything required to build the system, right now I AM not confident in the gun to suggest it as a working mod.Just as a example the original turret was 110.oous,I AM AT 300.00US counting replacment gun and boards, and shipping. One other note,it also has a tamiya metal barrel. As soon as possible I will post everything needed and how to install.SAX

One way around the IR mushroom problem is to do a custom install. Cut off the sensors and led's, attach fly leads and install them elsewhere. This leaves the circuit board free to be mounted out of harms way.

There is a complete Elmod IR system in my Tiger, but you can't see any of it. I didn't use the BB gun though as I installed a muzzle flash.

ERN,I am talking with Shelby@C/R VIA E-MAILonce a week,no date yet should be within 30-45days.As soon as he is ready and has stock he will post on this forum for sure.As will I,IT will be fun to have a real live battle although mite be a little messy.Hey wibbly where did you place the componets in the copula?I have tried to install the barrel flash but it is not flexable enough to mount in the muzzle brake, the wiring was a single leed run in a shallow groove on the bottom of the metal barrel w/the ground being the barrel itself.Hopeful that I can work this out.any advice on componet placment would be helpful.Sax

Thanks Saxon.  I haven't emailed Shelby in a few weeks as I dodn't want to bother him.  What a great guy - very enthusiastic about his product and service.  He really sounded bummed out when they had the setback with the parts supplier going belly up and they couldn't get the part they needed.  Last I heard it sounded like they had it worked out.  I'm still debating the sound system - he did a great job on that one!  I've already spent way more on this Tiger then I planned with all the metal bits and such.  The new Creeping Death gun system will hopefully complete the package.  I'm working on the upper hull now and should have my metal hull and wheel set in the next few days.

I have a metal cupola, the IR sensors are the same width near as dammit as the holes in the cupola, so I just got the dremel out and cut recesses in the inner ring and slotted them up in. A little dab of filler and paint, and they are totally invisible. One is mounted inside the pistol port.

The leds are mounted inside the turret base, with holes drilled to allow the light out. Now when it is hit the base of the turret flashes.

Thats a nifty solution to having a BB gun and a muzzle flash, but I simply dispensed with the airsoft on mine.

We are of the same mind on the copula slots, had not considered the under turret layout though, very good idea.
