Hi guys, after an awfully long time i got my Panther G out and did a little maintenance before running her. I decided to change out the stock pinion gears on my waltersons to 20 tooth ones that were supplied with gearboxes.
Everything fitted great inside the hull, so i oiled them up and did an open top run to check there were no problems before screwing down the top of the hull No problems occurred so i secured the top hull down and took her out for another spin, only this time there was a dreadful grinding noise, and upon inspection, the left hand pinion gear had lost 4 of its teeth, completely sheered off clean The right is in perfect condition so I'm unsure what has happened, do any of you guys have any idea? And where do I get a replacement?

On checking the Walterson gearbox’s look to have brass gears! In that case no idea unless something could have come loose and got caught up in the drive train.
Saw them advertised on the Torro website.
