Well my PZ III Arrived

Unfortunately it arrived with a broken left rear drive wheel and I’ll need to return it.think the axle on it is also bent. This is my first 1/16 scale RC tank so of course I’m rather disappointed.
Have a question for members here.
Noticed in the ad pictures the charger had round electrical contacts instead of the flat one we’re use to here in the U.S is this a European style of plug? I had assumed it was a removable plug that would enable it to convert to a US style electrical plug,ah nope! What to do in this situation!! Different charger?
Anyways as I said disappointed to say the least in my first venture into RC Tanks.

Yes we have 110v here in the states, also occurred to me if I may need a power converter for this charger to work properly.

S-G
Just checked the charger and it’s 110-240 so should work ok and yes there are conversion plugs a plenty on Amazon.
Plan was just a nice looking tank to drive our cats and 2 Yorkies Wild ......but if it goes the way of my train collection Ho,Boy!! somewhere north of $20 grand lol
Agree about a quality charger as the ones they supply are as you said quite iffy.

Sorry to be bothering everybody again but another question ‘ on unpacking The tank noticed the there was no aerial in the box.
Is this because of the 2.4 ghz system and it’s no longer needed or is it just gone missing.

The wire antenna is usually packed in with the manual and decals. Check in the plastic bag, it might have slid into the paperwork.
You don't need it, other than for looks, with the 2.4 system. If I remember correctly, it's in the wrong location, anyway.

If you have a twitchy wallet, then this is not the hobby for you
I started with a basic box stock PzIII, and once I started messing with it...I couldn't stop.
Mine had the old 27Mhz long antenna.....so I swapped out the mainboard for a Clark TK22 and a 2.4Ghz setup. I already had a 6ch radio...so hooked it up to that. Then I replaced the geaqrboxes with better steel ones with a 4:1 ratio as out of the bos, these tanks are way too fast for scale. Next came metal tracks and drive sprockets plus an adjustable track tensioner. Then some photo etch air intake covers. Then I scratch built a new exhaust so the smoke generator could smoke out of the right place....then I decided to go all the way and convert it from a 'J' to my favourite 'N' variant.
These were late war conversions to stick short barrel 75mm guns taken from early Panzer IVs to turn the III into a fire support tank for Tiger battalions. I swapped to a Tauch Panzer turret to lose the spaced armour on the mantlet, and bought a turned ally barrel. I made my own recoil system to hook up to a servo driven by the clark board and put a super bright LED. Then I converted the turret connections to a slip ring so I could have 360 rotation.
Before I knew it ...a 'cheap' £80 tank had sucked up around £300 .... but hey...it was fun
Bet your train collection is quite something too!

Morning all,
Pak,totally agree a single tank can get pricey once you decide what mods and details you want to apply. Being new to RC tanks I’m taking baby steps but seeing what can be accomplished with improved parts and details, pretty excited thinking about what the next few months will bring.
