When I finished my RC Solonik tank last year, during the beginning of winter, it was too cold to paint it properly. Nor did I have the option to paint indoors, not even the lawn shed, for the fumes drive the family crazy. Well, while sitting on the bed staring at the thing sitting in the display case, it occurred to me I’d never finished it. So on a weekend I grabbed the tank, some tape, scissors, spray paint and went to work. Sadly, as many of you will tell, there are places in my second coat (black lines) where the red paint seeped under the tape again...yet for some odd reason the grey coat didn’t do that once... Not sure what to think of it, or how to resolve it other than physically painting the design to the tank next time. But I don’t have the tools or time to make it look nice doing that.

Did you print the conversion parts or is it a kit
Or a scratch build ?

I’d consider it more of a scratch made conversion kit. I took a rc tank, completely rebuilt the turret, and rebuilt part of the hull.

Depending on how busy my summer is, how much money I can make, and how expensive the parts and or tank is. I plan on building a MBT 70 or something akin to the Obj 640 Black Eagle. Maybe use a T-90 Hull and rebuild the turret, it’d be similar to the Obj. 640, but at the same time, of my own design. Like my Solonik above.
