Any information on upcoming HL releases?

AFAIK Heng Long tries to uphold a schedule of one new release per year. IIRC two years back it was T-90, last year it was the truck, any idea what the next release might be?
My wish list:
- Leopard 1A2 (With the early, rounded turret)
- Centurion Mk 5/2 (First variant with the L7 105, also easily converted to Dutch vehicle)
- Chieftain, any mark

I'd like to see some WW II British offers ( wouldn't we all)

and a nice 1:16 Panzer I or II wouldn't be so bad

That would be great but I doubt that's going to happen, would require a new set of mechanicals because those tanks are so small the normal HL mechanicals won't fit.

The latest news is that heng long will be releasing a T-72 later this year. Looks like they might beat Waltersons to the punch.

That would also be awesome. Got a source on that rumor?

Take any information from heng long with a grain of salt but I heard that from a heng long dealer based in Singapore.

A T-72 seems logic.
I really hope so, I’m a bit burnt-out on the endless stream of WW2 german armour variations.
They only need to fix a few things on the T-90, like making the “boat bow” little top front plate, and plugging all those little reactive armour holes in the T-90 turret. Oh, and a new hatch for the commander.
It would probably be a very “pantiger-ish” sort of T-72, though, with a lot of liberties taken afa “true-to-scale” is concerned. But, I think that’s what’s going to happen. Ah, well, leaves something to do for the scratch-builders.

If HL had an ounce of sense they would use their existing lower hulls and produce the variants that would be a straight fit onto them. They could easily do a Jagdpanther 2, or a Bergpanzer to go on the Panther lower, There are loads of Sherman variants, The Leopard would take a Bueffel etc. The Panzer III & IV can take all of the Stug variants, or even SU conversions. The list is endless.

Yes, I quite agree, I'm really surprised that heng long haven't produced an easy 8, even with VVS.
And if heng long managed to manufacture a HVS they'd sell like hot cakes, tanks and spare bogies.
Quite, quite. While working on my Oddball I've already been planning a possible Easy 8 build, using the HL M4A3, Tamiya HVSS bogies and a third-party T23 turret with M1A2 gun.
If however HL started offering a proper M4A3E8 without the need for third party pieces I'd be all over it. Fury build perhaps?
