For a comissioned build, I've got to found 2 tank commanders with winter gears and not being of the usual or already seen figures. I found suitable figures on Ali Express. It's the first time to me I'm ordering figures from that website.I've to say, compared to the price, they looks good, just some minors work like removing the moulding line and they are ready.
The fitting of the arms is also very good, I only used some putty, to seal well the ''seam'' line.
The figure is wearing the reversible Plinter pattern camo. One side being with the camo, the other side in white.
The first figure will represent a TC from the S.Pz Abt 502 and the second one must represent the commander of Kampfgruppe Peiper 009 KT. The only modification is on the ''scrub cap'' as the SS were wearing different patch then the Heer.
The second figure is ''harder'' to do as I must follow the original pictures taken from the period movie showing the unit in Tondorf moving from their assembly point.
After many discutions, the choice was made to get it wearing a field grey parka.
For the moment, the face only are painted, as I'm using oils, I've got to let them dry before going on the unniform and items painting.
