Does anyone have info, detailed plans, pictures, line drawings, for the early Sherman III turret blanket box North Africa? The circled part...

Is it a designed item or a local addition?

Don't know it they'll work, but at least should give you a better idea of the general shape and size.

Thanks Bill. I too work with that site. I guess I just didn't go deep enough. Those will help with the dimensions for sure...

Actually, didn't work. The resolution is too low...

Yes, but the rez is still really low. Although it's good enough to get the measurements. I more interested to know the method of the closure. In some pics I've seen it almost looks like leather straps!!!

Thanks dad ;)

Not easy to find pictures of the diagonal opening boxes, found plenty of one's with top lids with catches.

But for me, I got quite a bit from the searches, found north African Shermans with both early styles of bogies, so I can have an allied tank with readily available running gear and take the lazy rout :D

Sounds like a TotM entry for next month!

You mean M3 bogeys on Shermans? I'm fairly sure I've seen late M3's with M4 bogeys, and not just modern survivors.
