IBU2 in Panzer III/Stug III, help please!

Hi guys,
Looking to shoehorn an IBU2 into either a Panzer III or Stug III, which ever is going to be easiest! There's not a lot of room to play with and a search or two hasn't enlightened me as to how to do it successfully.
The tanks concerned are both IR, the Stug is Heng Long and the Stug a plastic hulled Torro (I'm not quite ready for the big leagues yet!)
I await your advices eagerly!
As an aside, how easy is it to get replacement silencers/exhausts that will allow the passage of smoke instead of being solid, or am I going to have to try to hollow them out?
