Panzer I or II

I ask this question because I've just completed a very long workday and wanted to check in with my favorite tank friends.... As I always have been on the prowl for the unusual and unique and my Panzer III project with the 88 is hopefully

going to be completed in a few weeks I've always wanted to build a running panzer I or II. Possibly like the panzer I with the 75mm on it.
I know 3D printing could possibly solve this so I'm open to suggestions and ideas. ......
Or maybe I've lost my mind from working too hard

I like the PII a lot. The PI looks to my eye too prehistoric... But the II rocks!
There is a Classy Hobby PII kit that you can RC, but it might be a lot of work...

The problem with scratch building these tanks is finding the tracks to suit, I've already proved to myself that the sprockets/road wheels, etc can be printed, but it always comes back to track availability.

Woz has done a Panzer I and ii with printed tracks, it can be done!

Yes it can be done, I have done it using tracks that Woz printed for me for my Universal Carrier. The track links had to be glued together, cleaned, drilled, then acetone washed to weld the track link parts together, then re-drilled, then put together using dress making pins. The whole job took over 4 weeks and my fingers took another 4 weeks to heal. I will NEVER print and assemble tracks again (except for some track plates that I designed for Stug for his WW1 tank, but he will have the fun job of assembling them if he decides to go ahead.
If anyone else wants to do it, then I suggest they book themselves into the Priory for a mental evaluation, spend a month or so really considering whether they wish to inflict that amount of pain, suffering, and frustration on themselves, then go for it. You have been warned.

Thanks for the information fellas. I fondly remember drilling out each track link for my Panzer 38-t build and my fingers were subject to multiple puncture wounds...

Hi Carl,
It seems to me the inexpensive Spade Ace 38(t) or Luchs metal tracks would be a good fit for your build.

Thanks Louis, that's a great spot and a fantastic price. Suddenly many things become possible - they do a panzer II / Luchs set as well.......

Ok I can see why you'd go with pre made tracks

Is it just me that worries that the ad doesn’t mention how many tracks you’re buying or what pins to use?
Has anyone any experience of these?
Cheers
