It's telephone wire for when the troop is camped in their bivouac overnight, to run an intercom between the tanks for secure and reliable communications.

Hmm no in all the excitement I missed that one. I#ll do it later today. Good spot. Incidentally the pic is of he Mark 10, but the part also exists on he Mark V. The radio box on turret front rhs doesn't exist on the Mark V.
