Took the Chieftain to the LAD meeting and did some comparison photos with a Challenger to assess the scale
I also transplanted the rx18 and electrics from my IS2 to try out it's running performance and was very pleasantly surprised! (the video is rubbish but it's hard to take video and drive a tank simultaneously - both results were seriously degraded!). I also don't know how to turn the video sideway so I'm sorry if you guys get a crick in your neck!
The sprockets were clicking slightly but they should wear in quickly

Well Monday brought its drama when the wife's cardiologist rang at 8 in the evening (NHS?) to say he'd got her angiogram which he said was a formality, now he's found she has a partial blockage in her coronary artery and she's going to need a procedure to diagnose and treat it. Downside is there is a three month waiting list. I suppose that means its not immediately life threatening but once again life goes on hold waiting for the NHS!
Anyway some progress on the chieftain
Turret side box done
I've now reached the stage with the upper hull where gluing is finished and a coat of NATO green can be applied
so it's looking more like a tank and less like a dog's breakfast

Sorry to hear about your Mrs, the main thing is they’ve found what’s wrong & can fix it
Chieftain looking brill, I’ll be on with the side box in the morning, thanks Alwyn

Thanks Wayne, yes it has taken 12 months to track down the problem and it is hopefully easily fixed, then we can get on with our lives (hopefully not tempting fate here). It's funny (not humorous though) that the last angiogram was almost an afterthought as all the other tests (ECG, xrays, mri) all came up negative. The cardiologists parting words at her last appoinment were that he didn't need to see her again....
Anyway onwards and upwards

Aircon unit for the rear of the turret
You can either print the aircon and duct together or separately

Cheers Alwyn?
Mine is printing now, I cut it up slightly so my printer had a chance on the quality front.

Looking good Wayne. I spent this morning with a soldering iron and some 1.5mm brass rod and managed (with some scorched fingers and a modicum of profanity, to manufacture the lhs bustle basket.
Still have to superglue the mesh to the basket but it's progressing
I also printed some turret lift brackets as the ones on the turret stl were flimsy
