I remember seeing somewhere a posting for what IMO was a extraordinary Tamiya Tiger I build but can't find it. It was fantastically detailed and painted and I would like to book mark it for future reference.

Though an excellent build it is not the one I am thinking about. If memory serves it was an early N. Africa Tiger. It had an awesome weathering job.

Part of the problem in scouring legacy threads..in fact, a large part... is that many of them are now often entirely devoid of images. All we see is that damned ransom demand from Photobucket... It's their brand of Photographic terrorism. Or greed, of the Shkreli sort..
I do recall an interesting contribution a few years back, featuring a DAK Tiger 1 in an impressive desert diorama. You've set quite a challenge there. Do you recall whether this was a Tamiya build thread, or just a a weathering thread. Does it seem fairly recent?

Guido Henn's Early Tamiya Tiger 1 build has some great details, although the thread itself only stretches to two pages.. Still worth a look
