RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

I have an old Tamiya Sherman with a T01 controller, but no transmitter. If I had a transmitter I believe the tank would only move forwards/backwards/steer. Is it possible to use a Heng Long upper hull/turret and HL 2.4GHz system to make a hybrid?
