Also, Mike what tracks are on it? Sorry for all the questions it's really an incredible model
I have to find out the fan is just for show, it has a TARR smoker. I have to yet to see it in person and can't wait. He is running OpenPanzer as well so right up your alley Carl ! He also 3D printed the tracks, but I think Heng Long PzIII track is almost identical and more economical. Either way it is an amazing build.

The files for this are on Thingiverse!!!
The cheapest way to get one would be to buy a printer & print your own, it’s not easy mind for a 3D print newby.
I’ve been printing it for 3 weeks 24/7 on 2 printers & I’m 75% of the way through, it’s an awesome model & I can throughly recommend it
I’ll post some pics up tomorrow.

The word 'impressive' just isn't 'impressive' enough, the CAD design must have taken him forever, let alone the print time. A stunning model and up to factory standard. Brilliant!

That's great ! But out of curiosity (I also asked the original designer/builder of the tank too) what are the cost of 3D printing not just the material which seems pretty cheap but the electricity cost of running 2 printers 24/7 for three weeks (Or four weeks I assummed for the entire print) ?

Just want to see how much one of these 3D printed tank would cost. I know how much it would be on Shapeway ($$$$), but what it would be for DIY material+print process.

P.S. Electricity is freaking expensive here despite hydro-electricity and to me is always a cost factor.

Hi Michael,
I’m really sorry I have no idea what the electric costs are, not something I’ve ever checked.
Anyway here’s a couple of pics of where I’m up to.
The red glass it’s sat on is 520mm long, there are lots of other parts not pictured.

I think you're really going to enjoy your next electric bill then 8O
I've about doubled mine this year since I started printing! :wtf:

Is there any functional suspension on that? I couldn't tell by looking at the full assembly STL

Hi Martin,
There is a horizontal slot half way up the main body, you push spring steel through & bend it slightly down until it comes into contact with the outer shaft between the arms, crude, but it works, I know the real thing has coil overs but that detail is hidden.

Ah ok, still think I will be reengineering this to take coil overs when I come to do it tho...
