My Gaz 66

Here is my WPL Gaz 66, i went for the kit version as wanted to fit my own rc gear and it was only 23 quid delivered!

From start to finish build to about 4 hours, with no dramas. Yes there is some play in front wheels and the drive train is a bit crude but at that price who cares ! Using the suplied servo which appears to digital ( at leats to my ear any way) bit is, an odd to me size. Runs very well on a 2s lipo.

Need to tidy up all the electrics including adding a switch for the lights , then strip back down and paint and weather.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

I have just bought a few in kit form myself. Got a mad plan to make something a wee bit different which i hope hasn't been tried yet.

I think kit form is the way to go with these trucks as in rtr version the build quality is varying alot. You can also see and feel where they have stripped the threads in the plastic and over tightened.
Maybe self build will make them a better built truck.

These trucks just cry out for detailing and addition of scale features, i done quite a few now

Sure

The motor mount is 3d printed , it uses 2 N20 geared motors @150 rpm not sure how it goes yet as the 2 motors i had laying around are different.
