An interesting commission - KV220

This section is for builds that are not strictly Tamiya or Heng Long. For instance, replacing the electronics from a WSN or Matorro, or even a scratch-build.

Sir, your work so far combining good old fashioned finger work with ultra modern technology is magnificent.

Had a busy day yesterday, finished the milliput on the turret, installed all the electronics and tested them (not without considerable fun and games! ), and decided to put a coat of olive green on so I could see what it is going to look like. George is going to do a proper paint job but I got fed up with looking at something that had escaped from Dr Frankensteins laboratory!

Herman you are right she is a WHOPPER. Currently she is filling up what space there is on my workbench. I'll do some comparison photos later with my IS2.

Just waiting for the tracks and then she's ready for delivery

Very impressive. It also highlights just how rough the Soviet castings were compared to the (I assume) rolled steel plate for the more angular parts.

I think tracks would be a problem - aren't they wide Sherman style ones?

That's a very interesting tank build, but I tend to stick to tanks that actually existed. I have an aspirational build list of those tanks that I won't exhaust in my lifetime. :haha: :D
