The best thing ever for weld lines cut the nozzel right at the end to get the smallest hole and squeeze away, joyous !
I bought a tube of that last year from Amazon, as an alternative to using Milliput Superfine white. It doesn't need mixing unlike Milliput, and goes on very easily

Started making the side armour. Rather than make individual sections they are all one piece as I know its got to survive some side impact damage. Each is a pod with an interior bulkhead where they would usually be separated just so they are nice and strong.

Looking good

Now to make them the right size. Assumption the mother of all cock ups, I assumed that scaling down the real measurements would be a perfect fit but not even close.. Id assumed the measurements id got were correct but it appears not and of course the Hooben dimensions arn't a perfect 1/16th representation so another couple of days making new pods.

Next its a simple job to glue the side armour on.

A more difficult job was creating the side frames for the turret each had to be tailor fit to the gap between the turret and armour a bit fiddly but well worth the effort. I use a thick plastic card for rigidity and the size matches well the size of the original
