Hi, I have a HL PzIII which Im converting to a Stug III Ausf G . I started this before HL bought there one out but it just got put on the back shelf . And my Tigers progressing now so I think I might turn to this next . My question is at the mo its the basic tank with no S&S . What I want to do is add the HL Stug recoil / gun elevation unit to this tank . Can I remove the board and use the new RX18 with the same recever board , swap the crystels and use a S&S controler . Im guessing not ? And is it possible to fit the elevation and recoil to this conversion and how dificult ? Modeling wise Im ok its just the electronic side .
Thanks Littletankman

The Non-S&S control board is an all in one affair with the receiver circuit built into it - you will need the S&S receiver board for the RX-18. It just so happens that I will be passing thru town on Monday (litterally - for about 15 hours, and I'll be sleeping for at least 6 of them - so blink and you'll miss me...

) so I'll be able to drop off one of my spares if you need it (
Electronics Guru's: I'm assuming that the same receiver board talks to all control boards from Rx-13 onwards?).
You will also need crystals - unfortunately I just put all my spare crystals in a box and shipped them off for Cobbaton, so you'll have to wait a while before I catch up with them...
The Rx-18 will control the elevation and recoil. How you mount the unit is up to you...

Hi It is the same receiver board that is in all the Heng Long s&s tanks .To convert a tank from non S&S to S&S all you need is 1/receiver board 2 rx 13 or rx14 or rx18 board a set of crystals and a S&S transmitter this will get you moving you can add smoke unit if you wish its not essential for the Stug you will need one of the recoil&elevation units (Forgebear has these and new extra channel crystals )If you order all the parts at once Im sure he will knock a bit off and you will save on post I think Forgebear has all the parts you need .
regards pete

Andy,
I've used the crewman, replaced the dog with an ammo box and he lost his legs. Do you still want the dog on it's own, if so I got your PM and will send it.
