RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi, whilst working on my Panther G and doing some research on it I see there was provision for gas detection panels and also that the crew ventilation had gas mask storage and gas filters.

I'm not aware of earlier German tanks having this so did the Germans have plans to use gas as a last ditch war winner? I know some allied tanks had gas detection paint but by late 44, early 45 I can't see the Germans fearing gas being used against them.

Any ideas?
