Dragon 1/6 PANZER II AUSF.B to F Conversion with RC?
Re: Dragon 1/6 PANZER II AUSF.B to F Conversion with RC?
Painless, I have tried contacting graupner regarding the 600 BB’s and I don’t think they manufacture them anymore.
These motors might work in there place.

Good morning,
The old Graupners used a 6.7 volt draw. The new ones may be a bit overpowered for the boards I am contemplating. These motors on the site are very interesting tho' I need to look at my splines on the originals. There is a very good chance that these are a direct swap out. Nowhere on the page can I see what pole they are tho'. 3 or 5? The interior fan is very cool ( pardon the pun ) and I hope that the resistors are built into the can as well vs the originals.

I don't know if I mentioned that these gearmotors have been recommended by YouTube user Innovator on his Panzer II https://www.amequipment.com/shop/230-se ... 2lm9-fsxtz it's an AM Equipment 218 Series DC Gear Motor. Not cheap at $107 each but you can get a left and right motor. I'm hoping to make a Motor Mount that can use the models Hull to keep it in place. The motor will also be attached to the side of the hull at the final drive. I am considering have a steel or Aluminium plate cut & then i'll bend it to shape to fit the lower hull. That should stop some of the flex?

Re: Dragon 1/6 PANZER II AUSF.B to F Conversion with RC?
I'm still shopping around with the view to motorising my Tank when ever I can get the parts to start. The delay may have saved me a tidy sum. While looking at Halftracks I discovered that Spyker Workshop was making Tracks for the Armorhobbys Halftrack. What interested me was the motors he was using to power his vehicle. First off by looking at his video for the tracks he stress tests the tracks & motors by making his Halftrack run forwards against a solid object proving that the motors have power https://spykerworkshop.com/shop/6scalet ... ftrackrtr/ Then it occurred to me that is could use the same motors as they will fit his motor mounts https://spykerworkshop.com/shop/6scalet ... otormount/ but when I checked out the motors he uses https://www.skycraftsurplus.com/gearhea ... motor.aspx I found them to be a fraction of the price of the AM motors I was looking at. It looks like I can motorise my Tank for an 8th of the price I was looking at and that price includes the motor mounts. The motors look like they will fit in my Tank easily making my life a lot easier.

Good afternoon,
Back, safe and sound from the wildfire here. ;o) Those latest motors and worm gears look like amazing Tech. If I cannot get that one Stuart site fellow to respond, I am going with those 9 tooth jobbies you mentioned a couple of post up above!

Well it's been a wait but my Panzer II AUSF F kit is on its way. FOA included the periscope lenses for the Cupola as a thank you for waiting. Wow it looks to be worth the wait, I paid for the kit only really expecting to get the lower Hull armour, the upper Hull section to square the upper hull and the Drivers viewport and false view port but there is so much more. Check out the instructions it is a complete kit. I can't start work until after Christmas but at least i'll have the kit. More to follow.

So,,,, this happened. I think i'll be making this one static until I work out the costs of adding RC to my other Tank. Sadly this one will also have to go into storage until after Christmas. Hopefully i'll be able to get the rest of the kit next week?
