RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hello,

I have been looking into ways to get my Taigen tanks to be Tamiya compatible. The IBU boards are tempting but the much lower cost of the MAKO2017 is more so. With that said, I have seen a few claims about issues with the MAKO2017 working with the Taigen V2 board. I will have a V2 board in my Tiger 1 and a V1 in my Jagdtiger and want to be sure that both play well together and with Tamiya in battles. Does anyone have experience with the MAKO2017 and the Taigen V2 board?

Instead we would like to know a little about you,
Where in the World are you for instance? What drove you to become involved in our hobby ? Are there particular areas of the hobby that you are interested in ? What Armour if any do you have ? In other words introduce yourself and people will be glad to offer their assistance.

I'm in Southern California and I am new to the hobby. After many years of being generally interested in armor and model-building, I discovered RC tanking after stumbling upon online listings and info for the affordable Heng Long Tiger 1. Many youtube videos and some forum reading later, I jumped in over the holidays by picking up a Taigen Tiger 1 (V2 Electronics) and a Torro Jagdtiger (V1 Electronics). I have since connected with a local club so I am now looking to make my two tanks Tamiya compatible so that I can participate in battles.
