There is a new WPL 1/16 Truck out.
This time not military, but looks another good base and maybe ideal for some other ideas.
Looks more like a modified Toyota off road crawler but is advertised as semi truck haha.

Comes in either red or yellow.

Few bits look new on it with different tyres, but I think they have maybe done other changes as they advertise higher speed than other wpl trucks.

When I was in the U.S. Army (and the first one that asks if I was in the Union or Confederate army gets one in the kisser) we had dodge pick-ups, and I'm already thinking of something like that. But I'll wait to see exactly what they're like first. It looks like they may have a different frame, and of course the shocks are different. I wonder if it's short enough to make a Gamma Goat?

And the tow hooks look much better on this truck, I hope they're available separately, eventually.

I think they could shorten and make a jeep with a little ingenuity.
They have mad themselves a very versatile and flexible base which almost has endless possibilities.
Different wheels sizes for those hex drives and you could use to convert some Bruder toys ;)
Just wish some of the mechanicals were better. Someone needs to do more upgrade options.
Now I have me lathe I am thinking alloy or steel parts for driveline. Just looking for.milling attachments

Now it's really too bad about the puddle. I work in a machine shop. Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "milling attachments"? Is this another one of those deals like the way you guys call a wrench a spanner? :haha: :/ @)

Right this minute I'm printing a crate to hold the electronics for the FPV and light bar on the truck. I'll keep ya posted. 8)

Tamiya Bruiser was and is still seriously cool for sure.

I was just thinking inspiration of what to modify it into.

Anyway I know I will probably have to wait a while, but I have ordered one anyway.
The suspension is completely different as it looks.like a 4 link setup and dampers. But the pictures are hard to decifer.

I am kinda hoping the GAZ trucks arrive soon, maybe if we lucky the days between Christmas and New Year.
