Whatever happened to this BB barrel recoil?

Leafing through the archives, I chanced upon this thread from five years ago- that was a bit before my time.

There are names of contributors present we don't see anymore, and a couple we do; but a slight mystery remains hanging here they didn't resolve: whose barrel recoil mechanism was it? There's a suggestion from 'Leibstandarte Shield" that this is a product to be made in Europe by Europeans. It just needed an entrepreneur. Later it's suggested that it's not a barrel recoil really, just track recoil. If you look carefully, however, you'll see that it really
is a recoiling airsoft barrel.

An efficient one at that.
It can't be the system later developed by Taigen, and marketed for the Tiger 1. After all, Florida isn't in Europe.
I'm curious because I'd like to see details of the mechanism used, and whether it differs from that marketed by Taigen. If so, is it one we could modify our own beasts with easily? Since Heng Long are only going to be producing Airsoft/BB
tanks in future, this becomes a more relevant question.
This was the original thread...

Good morning,
Sir, If you can get a chance to talk to Saxondog here on the forum, that will answer all of your questions about this item. The Taigen recoil came from Torro ( I believe ) and was developed from Saxondogs work with these folks ( if they are indeed the same people I am thinking of ) I have an old Tiger 1 from HL that if I ever redo it, will get the recoiling airsoft set up like this. It is an extremely cool feature.
regards,
Painless

Hi, Painless, and good afternoon to you! It's a very wet one here in the Far North!
I did notice that you were one of the contributors to that thread, and expressed a fair amount of interest in the recoil feature. Clearly, the interest is undimmed. Saxondog used to be a significant presence here on the Forum, and was a MOD once, I believe. He appears to have moved on to pastures new and (according to his profile), hasn't even looked in since Feb., this year, and so there'll be no chance of communing with him. Pity.
I have two tigers with the Taigen barrel recoil; one early and one late. In both instances, I bought the turrets equipped with that feature, and I'd say they were well worth the investment.
I though maybe that some other (unknown) inventor had magicked up a barrel recoil system that works as well as the Taigen one. Someone here in Europe...

I haven't heard from Saxon in well over a year, perhaps 2. Last I heard from him he was designing a large scale King Tiger. Then nothing.
