...not done too much... she's got a Tamiya barrel to give the correct length and running KV1 tracks to give a more WW2 look....she's got a RX18/DBC set-up to give her IR battle capability....

Good morning, Frank!
That was a super cool idea to use the KV tracks. ;o) Looks realistic and it really does plant that beauty firmly in the WWII time scale. Great job, Doc!

Painless

I think it looks good.
The KV 1 tracks look closer to the early Pershing tracks but metal ones of the early type that are correct for the Pershing can be had (a bit expensive though). One thing that glares out as being wrong for a WW2 Pershing is the large hull blower housing with the 2 slots on each side.
This is how mine looks after putting on early tracks and making the blower housing smaller and with only one intake slot on each side

Hey Frankie,
She's looking real sharp! I have a couple quick questions though.
1. I assume you're using the M41 sprockets for those tracks?
2. Are they the metal tracks?
3. How much clearance is there between the sidewall of the hull, and the tracks?
Thanks!

Hi Chase.
Yes they’re M41 sprockets and plastic tracks.
There’s a couple of mm clearance although it gets close to the final drive cover.
The tracks are a little too wide and I don’t think they’d fit if you keep the skirts...

Any close ups of the blower? I'm backdating my Tamyia to make Fireball.

Awesome. Thanks!
I've already cut the skirts off for the possibility of making a Super Pershing, but I'll need to rethink how my hull bracing is attached. Currently, I have a few bolts trough the hull that would probably hit the KV-1 tracks.

It's hard to find a pic of a older blower housing that really shows how small it was compared to the larger one. This is the one that really shows it from the front. The side view is almost impossible to find showing the single slots on the side rather then the double slots but if you type in WW2 Pershing images several museum pieces that were left after WW2 do show it but not very well.
